A Walk Through the City

Preview

I took this photo just outside St. George Station in downtown Toronto, without really planning to shoot anything. The city was moving the way it always does, busy, loud, and constantly in motion. But for a moment, everything felt slower. Two people walking ahead, surrounded by buildings that seemed to stretch endlessly upward, created a scene that felt quiet despite everything happening around it.

What stood out to me was the contrast between movement and stillness. Right outside a station where people are constantly arriving and leaving, there was this brief pause that felt different. I chose to edit this in black and white to remove distractions and focus on the structure, the lines, and the feeling of the moment. It turns something ordinary into something more intentional, something that feels almost timeless.

Sometimes the most meaningful shots aren’t planned. They happen in passing, in between destinations, when you’re simply paying attention. This was one of those moments where nothing special was supposed to happen, but somehow, it did.

Every frame holds a story, this was just one of them.
